Shopping With Us
What's included in your sales and promotions?
Discounts apply to print books, mugs, candles, puzzles, and tote bags. Gift cards, eBooks, audiobooks, and Bookshop.org purchases aren't eligible for promo codes, sales, or discounts shared on our site, in emails, or on social media.
Do you offer discounts on bulk orders?
Not at this time, but we do offer free shipping on all orders of $75 or more.
Do you carry self-published authors?
Yes, through Ingram. Email info@sscarletsweb.com and we'll help you get set up.
I can't find a book on the site, can I still order it?
Definitely. Email info@sscarletsweb.com, fill out our request form, or check Bookshop.org. We're happy to track it down.
Do you donate a portion of sales?
Not at this time.
Audiobooks & eBooks
Do you sell audiobooks?
Yes! We've partnered with Libro.fm so you can shop audiobooks, over 150,000 titles, including bestsellers and staff picks, right through us.
Do you sell eBooks?
Yes, through Kobo and Bookshop.org. Every purchase supports our store.
Free Books & ARCs
Do you offer free books?
Yes! You just cover shipping (plus tax on shipping if you're in NY) and leave a review.
What's an ARC?
An Advance Reader Copy, a book available before its official release date. These are free aside from shipping. The abreviation ARC will be after the book title. You can browse our available ARCs in the free reads collection.
Why do you sell damaged books?
Occasionally books arrive from the publisher with minor cosmetic flaws (a torn dust jacket, a bent cover, that kind of thing). Rather than toss them, we offer them for free plus shipping costs. The abreviation DB will be after the book title. You can browse our available books in the free reads collection.
Orders & Charges
Why was my order cancelled?
For the protection of our customers, we cancel any orders that are identified as suspicious by our fraud team.
We do not charge customers for cancelled orders. You may see a pending transaction that indicates an authorization hold has been placed on the funds associated with the order, however these holds are usually reversed within 1 to 7 business days.
An order may also be cancelled because inconsistent information was provided during the checkout process. If you believe your order was cancelled due to such an error, please review the details of your transaction. Please note that once cancelled, an order cannot be reinstated. If you would like to proceed with your purchase, a new order must be placed.
Why am I seeing multiple charges on my credit card?
Upon placing an order, your card is authorized for an amount that includes estimated tax and shipping. Once your order ships, any state and local taxes will be calculated and reflected in the final charge.
Pending authorizations may have also been created because incorrect credit card information was provided. The pending authorizations are not charges and should drop off your account within a few days.
