The Moment Winter Ends

Getting married was the first accident. Falling in love won't be their second.

Small-town heartthrob Logan Henry has finally turned surfing into his career. But after surviving a shark attack, getting back in the ocean feels impossible and the press has labeled him a flake for consequently pulling out of competitions. It doesn't help his image that he can't seem to hold a serious relationship, and with his career hanging by a thread if he can't compete again, Logan is determined to scrounge up some of the faith he knows he should be having.

Single mom Elena Ferrera is determined to get promoted from staff writer to sports reporter with the local newspaper. So, when her boss agrees to consider her for the job if she covers Logan's comeback, she's ready despite her nerves. She and Logan have always had unspoken chemistry, but Elena owes it to her daughter to provide stability, and liking him would surely result in the opposite of something stable. She can't let "Logan The Flake" make her hope again-not after the way everyone in her life has constantly let her down.

But when a snowstorm strands Logan and Elena at an inn, a misunderstanding turns their stay into an accidental wedding, and the news spreads before they can fix it. The worst part? Logan's agent insists on using their disaster as an image boost, so now the two are stuck staying married until after his competition.

With the right boundaries, the next three months in matrimony should be simple, but as holiday gatherings force them into close quarters and their connection deepens, Logan and Elena must decide whether their predicament is really a mistake that needs fixing, or if it's what God has been leading them toward all along.

This is the third book in the Meadow Hills series but can be read as a standalone.
